The System

NSRS is NSC's structured tool for evaluating an organisation's OHS management system - qualitatively, quantitatively, objectively and individually - against applicable standards and best practice. The goal is continual improvement toward zero harm.

The 9 Key Elements Assessed

Assessment Methodology - Two Field Visits

1. Application - the organisation submits a request for NSRS assessment.
2. First field visit - on-site gap assessment across all 9 key elements; a detailed report is submitted.
3. Implementation window - 3 months to act on the first visit's findings.
4. Second field visit - NSC verifies that the recommended improvements are in place.
5. Score Card & Certificate - the Golden Stars rating is issued, based on the final score.
