Applications are Invited for NSCI Safety Awards-2016 (Construction Sector)

 

Objective:To recognize construction establishments for their meritorious Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) performance and implementing effective OSH Management Systems, practices & procedures and for developing & strengthening effective the Client – Contractor – Subcontractor chain for achieving high standards of OSH 

 

Assessment Period: One calendar year (2015) previous to the Awards Year-2016.

 

Eligibility:

  • Any establishment registered under the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996 [BOCW (RECS) Act, 1996] for executing “building and other construction work” as defined under this Act and employed 100 or more building workers in the project for at least 240 days during the Assessment Period

Or

  • Any contractor, licensed under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act 1970, for executing “building and other construction work” as defined under the BOCW (RECS) Act, 1996 and employed 100 or more building workers in the project for at least 240 days during assessment period

Or

 
  • Any establishment registered under the Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act 1970, for executing “building and other construction work” as defined under the BOCW (RECS) Act, 1996 and employed 100 or more building workers in the project for at least 240 days during assessment period.

The list of all the establishments that have scored 70% and above will be published in NSC Industrial Safety News and uploaded in on the NSC website.

Entry Fee :  For NSC Members - Rs. 17,000/- (inclusive of 14.5% Service Tax)
                       For Non-members -  Rs. 20,000/- (inclusive of 14.5% Service Tax)
